How does activity tracking work?
TraceArea records your outdoor activities such as running, cycling, or walking using your device's GPS. The app calculates the route and the explored area during your activity.
Why does the app request location access?
Location is required to record your activity routes and display your position on the map. Background location allows activity tracking to continue if the screen is locked or the app is in the background.
How does Live Share work?
Live Share allows you to generate a temporary link that trusted contacts can use to see your location while you are doing an activity.
What is Safety Trace?
Safety Trace lets you configure an emergency contact. When the SOS button is triggered, the app sends a message containing your live location link so your contact can see your position.
